Good Friday
And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit. At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split and the tombs broke open. The bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life. They came out of the tombs after Jesus’ resurrection and went into the holy city and appeared to many people.

When the centurion and those with him who were guarding Jesus saw the earthquake and all that had happened, they were terrified, and exclaimed, “Surely he was the Son of God!”

Matthew 27:50-54

Join us as we gather on Good Friday to reflect, remember, and respond to Christ’s sacrifice of love and to the forgiveness He gives. He was stricken, afflicted, and executed on a cross in our place.

We will read Scripture passages, we will sing, and we will hear a message by Pastor Jerome. Everyone is welcome. Invite your neighbours and friends!
Resurrection Sunday
After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb.
There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.

The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.”

Matthew 28:1-8

Come and celebrate the news that Jesus is alive and that there is salvation for all who believe! The first news of the resurrection was spoken by an angel to a grieving Mary Magdalene who then took the news into the homes of the disciples – some were in mourning, some in doubt, some in fear.

No matter your own situation, Jesus died for you and rose from the dead for you!  Join us and let us joyfully exclaim “Christ is Risen; He is Risen Indeed!”  Kristian Landry will be sharing a resurrection message. Everyone is welcome. Invite your neighbours and friends!
